Enjoy our Gîte, which can accommodate 8 people, at the banks of the Thaurion river just outside Chavanat, in the natural regional parc Millevaches, le Forêt de Clairavaux, in the Creuse, Limousin.
Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, canoeing, fishing, or catching crayfish in the river. Go on one of the many hiking trials, or visit the historical sites around. Lake Vassiviére, with it's magnificent beaches and surrounding forests is only 15 minutes away. So is Aubusson, a historical small town with all facilities. But you might be tempted to stay in the forest garden of the gite and take a plunge into the Thaurion!
the Gîte
A converted old barn turned into a 8 person gite.
It has a spacious living room with an open kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, oven, hub, refrigerator with freezer, a coffee machine with bean grinder and a microwave. 4 double bedrooms, 3 with a double bed, 1 with two single beds. A bathroom with a rain shower, toilet and washing machine, also a separate toilet on the ground floor in the hallway. Free internet available, a flatscreen television, plus a bluetooth sound system. The garden has a dining area and a lounge set. A barbecue is available. Walk down the forest path to reach the private sun deck with comfortable loungers and pool steps, 2 canoes available. The river is a great place to swim, canoe, fish, or walk up to the little stone dam, and sit in the waterfall!
